Quiet Time | 24x30

Camping with kids is amazing but sometimes I need to find a bit of space to soak in the vast aloneness of nature. This painting is about squeezing in a moment of solitude to take a breath and appreciate my surroundings.

Even though my sources of hubbub (aka, the kids) are still visible, just outside the frame, a brief quiet time is all it takes to re-energize and once again celebrate the great outdoors the way they do; with joyful noise!
